Align Invoice
Always print your document without alignment settings
first, then proceed to align the document, if necessary.
Click on "Align" to set the alignment of the document text on the page. The
following screen will appear to allow selection of the document to align. The
"Application and Certification for Payment" and the "Continuation
Sheet" are aligned separately. The alignment settings may be saved. Once saved, the
settings will remain in effect until the next alignment is performed.
Select the document to align and click "Ok" to continue alignment, click
"Exit to quit with no change.
The following alignment section of the screen will be activated.
Clicking the "Reset" button to the right of the alignment area will clear
all alignment settings. Clicking on the "Save & Exit" button will save your
new alignment settings.
Use the horizontal and vertical scroll bars to adjust the top and left margins. On the
above example the top margin has been decreased by .125 lines. This was accomplished by
scrolling up (U) on the "Top Margin" scroll bar. The left margin has been
increased by .6 characters, this was accomplished by scrolling right (R) on the "Left
Margin" scroll bar.
After setting alignment adjustments, click "Print" to test print the selected
document.
The printer selection screen will be displayed. If you need to select the printer, click
on setup. When printing for alignment, no other settings should by changed. The correct
settings will automatically be displayed on the printer selection screen.
Click "OK" on the printer selection screen. The following message will be
displayed.
Place the requested form in the printer tray. Normally the document will be placed in
the printer tray with the printed side up and the top of the pages to the left. However,
this may vary from printer to printer so some experimentation may be necessary.
Click "Ready" to print, click "Exit" to quit with no action.
Repeat this alignment process until the text is registered correctly on the page. When
"Save & Exit" is clicked, the current alignment settings are saved and will
remain in effect until the next alignment is performed.
